Instructions:
- Prepare the Pan:
- Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter.
- Microwave:
- Microwave the mixture on high for 1 minute. Remove and stir. Continue to microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Vanilla and Salt:
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
- Add Nuts (Optional):
- If you’re using nuts, fold them into the fudge mixture until evenly distributed.
- Transfer to Pan:
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Chill:
- Place the pan in the refrigerator and let the fudge chill for at least 2 hours, or until it’s set.
- Cut into Squares:
- Once the fudge is set, use the parchment paper overhangs to lift it out of the pan. Place it on a cutting board and cut it into squares or rectangles of your desired size.
