Homemade Bread in the Air Fryer

  1. Activate the Yeast:
    • In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  3. Combine Ingredients:
    • Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the Dough:
    • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Let it Rise:
    • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  7. Shape the  Dough:
    • Punch down the risen  dough and shape it into a loaf that fits into your air fryer basket.
  8. Air Fry the Bread:
    • Place the shaped dough into the preheated air fryer basket. Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. Cool and Slice:
    • Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
  10. Optional: Brush with Butter:
    • For added flavor, you can brush the top of the bread with melted butter immediately after it comes out of the air fryer.
