Treatment of fungus
We treat onychomycosis (nail fungus) with topical medication in combination with sanding. The treatment consists of sanding the fungus-affected nail to clean it well, remove as much of the fungus as possible and prepare it to absorb the medication. This is a locally applied antifungal, a prescription medication prescribed by the nurse.
Although topical treatment of onychomycosis is long and requires several sessions, it has few side effects.
